Opening a Coffee Business Seminar IN-PERSON

This course is offered as an in-person seminar.

 Maximum Class Size: Limited to 6 students

Duration: 13 hours. Two days. Pre-registration required.  

This course is a combination of lecture, group discussion, coffee tastings and activities, all of which were developed to help you critically think through the process of opening your own business.

• Coffee & Tea knowledge
• Business Start-up and Building a Business Plan
• Finding the right location
• Controls including beverages, food, cash, inventory & payroll
• Working with a Roaster
• Marketing
• Purchasing Equipment
• Staff Hiring and Training and Fostering a barista culture

Note: Opening a Coffee Business Seminar start times are Day 1: 10 am to 5 pm. and Day 2 10 am. to 5 pm.

Workshop includes valuable take away resources. Upon completion, you will receive a Certificate from the Canadian Barista & Coffee Academy.
